This column appeared in Shiiba Village's monthly newsletter for three years. I'm told that about 7,000 people read the print version of Shiiba's newsletter every month. As the "Printer" set type by hand there are no electronic versions of Shiiba's Newsletter
I wrote these columns in English and used a writing style suitable for translation. Kouichi Higuma,Takashi Kusuda and Hirofumi Taniguchi translated them into Japanese. As this is a Village Newsletter, I assumed that my readers were familiar with Shiiba - and all of the latest gossip. My hope is that you will enjoy reading about my "Adventures in Shiiba."
